Praised for his “smooth, copper-hued baritone” (Opera News), Erik Grendahl, recently completed his Master of Music degree at The Juilliard School, where he studied with Darrell Babidge. He graduated from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA with a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance and a Bachelor of Science in Statistics. Erik recently appeared as an apprentice singer with the Santa Fe Opera singing Steuermann in Tristan und Isolde and covering René Gallimard in the world premiere of Huang Ruo and David Henry Hwang's M. Butterfly. He is a 2022 George London Award Winner and a National Semifinalist in the 2022 Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition. Mezzo-soprano, Jenny Anne Flory, from Harrisonburg, Virginia, graduated with her MM in Opera Performance, as a member of the University of Maryland Opera Studio (May 2017). She holds a BM in Vocal Performance from James Madison University (May 2015). She is currently a second year resident artist at the Academy of Vocal Arts. Ms. Flory recently sang Zerlina in AVA's Spring 2023 production of Don Giovanni, had her professional Mainstage debut as Siebel in Detroit Opera’s production of Faust in November 22, performed the mezzo solo in the Duruflé Requiem with the Greater Philadelphia Choral Society (May '23), the mezzo solos in Handel's Messiah Part II/III (April '23 Tenth Pres. Philadelphia), has performed as the alto soloist for Handel's Messiah (Ovation Singers, St. Anne’s Episcopal, JMU), Mozart's Requiem (JMU), Haydn's Maria Theresa Mass (First Pres. Charlottesville) and Vivaldi's Gloria (JMU) and various other places. She currently studies under the tutelage of Bill Schuman at AVA. https://www.jennyanneflory.com/biography
