This concert features a wide variety of exceptional music groups drawn from the Shenandoah Valley community including the Valley Wind Ensemble, a group of more than 60 local area music educators and freelance musicians. Directed by JMU faculty member Stephen Bolstad, VWE features rich musicianship, challenging repertoire and memorable music. An ensemble of students selected from Harrisonburg City Schools return to the lineup in an evening that combines performance, education and dialogue to engage audiences of all ages.
