All About Jazz

Celebrate the life and legacy of jazz giant Dave Brubeck with a performance by the Brubeck Brothers Quartet! Chris, a bassist and Grammy-nominated composer, and drummer Dan Brubeck started performing with their father in the 1970s—and in 2012 joined forces with guitarist Mike DeMicco and pianist Chuck Lamb to form the Brubeck Brothers Quartet. This special show commemorating the centennial of Dave Brubeck’s birth invites audiences to learn more about the jazz great and his musical contributions, including the Time Out album made famous by The Dave Brubeck Quartet in 1959. The celebration features stories by the Brubeck brothers, video interviews with Dave Brubeck and musicians he influenced, as well as music by the Brubeck Brothers Quartet, “a wondrous combination of swing, melodic majesty, masterful arrangements and a truckload of truly inspirational solos.” (The Seattle Times).  www.brubeckbrothers.com
