Friends of the Arts: Benefits and Privileges

“Friends” is the gateway giving society of the College of Visual and Performing Arts. Gifts to this fund are unrestricted and used to support students, faculty, programs and guest artists in the School of Music, School of Theatre and Dance, and the School of Art, Design and Art History. Any gift, large or small, is greatly appreciated. Donors of gifts of $25 or more annually receive special privileges and recognition.

  • Invitation to two master classes with guest artists
  • Invitation to a dress rehearsal for a JMU student performance
  • Invitation to a scheduled backstage tour

Donor ($250 to $499):

Benefits listed above, plus

  • Invitation to the annual Season Announcement event
  • Invitation to one rehearsal for a major Masterpiece artist

Patron ($500 to $999):

Benefits listed above, plus

  • Invitation to a special meet-and-greet reception with a major Masterpiece artist
  • Invitation to a dress rehearsal for the annual musical

Gifts are recorded on an annual basis in coordination with the university’s academic year: July 1-June 30.

Gifts received after April 1 will have courtesies extended through the next academic year.
