ARTWORK BY RICH HILLIARD

"It will slash and shapeshift its way into your heart."

The New York Times

An amusing romp into the world of fantasy role-playing games, She Kills Monsters tells the story of Agnes Evans as she leaves her childhood home in Ohio following the death of her teenage sister, Tilly. When Agnes finds Tilly’s Dungeon’s & Dragons’ journal, she stumbles into an imaginary world of action-packed adventure that was Tilly’s refuge. In this dramatic comedy filled with homicidal fairies, nasty ogres and ‘90s pop culture, acclaimed young playwright Qui Nguyen offers a heart-pounding homage to the geek and warrior within us all. Features students from JMU’s School of Theatre and Dance.

Adult content and adult language.
SHE KILLS MONSTERS is presented by special arrangement with SAMUEL FRENCH, INC.

Join us for talk-back sessions after the Tuesday and Friday evening performances.
